The lippylounge is a place for fun, informative and interesting chat where users can share their experiences and opinions.
Please note that only users who are 18 years of age and over are allowed to register and post on the lippylounge.
We want every member of the lippylounge to have an enjoyable experience. We therefore expect that anyone who uses a getlippy.com account will act in a responsible manner and have respect for their fellow users.
All posters' comments are their own, and are not getlippy.com's views. By posting on the lippylounge, the user grants getlippy.com the right to re-use any or all of the content of the message.
The following activities are deemed to be unacceptable in the lippylounge:-
Advertising or Soliciting
It is strictly prohibited to advertise on the discussion boards. Any buying or selling of products, offering items for sale, linking to personal items for sale, and requesting swaps on the discussion boards is also prohibited until further notice.
Any post containing links or URLs of non-getlippy.com community sites may be removed.
Attempts to collect or store personal information about other users of getlippy.com are considered advertising; any request for participation in research or TV shows should be directed to communities@getlippy.com
Offensive and Abusive posts
li> Libellous, unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, harmful, sexist, homophobic, threatening, obscene, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material will not be tolerated on the lippylounge.
Visual sexual references are not allowed.
Please do not post anything relating to any ongoing or pending court case as such a post may be in Contempt of Court.
Please treat others on these message boards as you would expect them to treat you. Contributions should be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or posted with the intention of causing trouble. Please do not attempt to sidestep the swear filters; they are there for a reason!
Whilst criticism is encouraged on the lippylounge, abuse and defamation directed at getlippy.com staff and volunteers is prohibited and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Repeated breach of this rule will lead to an immediate account suspension, and removal of the offending post(s).
Spam
Purposely spamming a message board with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages to bump your post to the top of the active thread list is not allowed. We don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one conversation.
PrivacyWe recommend not giving out personal details such as your surname, postal address or phone number in the Boards. This is for your own safety and protection as other people browsing the Boards could easily misuse this information. Remember, when you are online, it is very easy for people to pretend to be someone they are not.
All users who register on the lippylounge agree to be bound by the rules and terms and conditions. Any user who breaks the rules or terms and conditions will have their post removed followed by a warning and possibly banned from posting on the lippylounge.
The official disciplinary procedure is as follows:
1st repeated rule-breaking Official Warning
2nd repeated rule-breaking 3 day suspension
3rd repeated rule-breaking 1 week suspension
4th repeated rule-breaking Permanent ban
Official Warnings, suspensions and permanent bans can only be issued by the Communities Manager.
Temporarily suspended and banned users are not allowed to post to the lippylounge; in cases of such abuse, we reserve the right to contact your Internet Service Provider or employer.
Any query or complaint about the boards should be directed to the Communities Manager, either by PM-ing Get Lippy!, or by email communities@getlippy.com.
If you see a message that you feel is breaking the Rules above, please report it to the Moderator by clicking the exclamation mark next to the post. It will then be evaluated and removed or edited at the Moderator's discretion. |
